Hi,

Difficulty in urination after taking Naproxen (Naprosyn) can be a serious side effect and should be promptly reported to your doctor. It is possible that you may be experiencing urinary retention, a condition in which the bladder cannot empty properly. In the meantime, you should seek immediate medical attention to address your difficulty in urination. You should not stop taking your medications abruptly, as this could worsen your condition.

Your healthcare provider may recommend the following treatments:
* Discontinuation of Naprosyn: If urinary retention is due to Naprosyn, discontinuation of the medication may resolve the problem.
* Fluids: Drinking plenty of fluids can help to flush out any urinary blockage and improve urine flow.
* Medication: Your healthcare provider may prescribe medication to help relax the bladder muscles and improve urine flow.
* Catheterization: In severe cases, where the bladder is completely blocked, a urinary catheter may be inserted to drain the bladder.

It is important to speak to your doctor as soon as possible to get proper medical attention for your symptoms. Do not delay seeking medical advice, as urinary retention can lead to serious complications if left untreated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
