Suggest Treatment For Digestive Issue With Bloating

I am a 19 year old female with chronic digestive issues. I have had them for the past 4-5 years. I get bloated and distended every time i eat. it feels like there is a giant growing bowling ball in my stomach. It makes my back hurt and i can t stand up straight. I m basically out after I eat because i feel so awful all i can stand to do is sit down. i try to avoid eating during the day so that i can go about my day. I wake up in the morning and feel like i have not digested my food. i feel constipated/not able to fully clean myself out. My colon aches! I have had a colonoscopy and endoscopy which were fine. I have been on miralax for two years (2 scoops a day) and its not really helping anymore... I have had two parasites in the past four years (fragilis and giardia). The first i got in vietnam, the second backpacking. I feel awful and I have been so EXHAUSTED! My eyes burn/hurt and i have no energy at all! It is getting worse and worse.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

You may be suffering from irritable bowel syndrome or food intolerance or infection or liver or gallbladder problems or inflammatory bowel problems etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. Avoid outside food and fast food. Avoid spicy food and gluten and lactose contain food.

Eat a soft diet, drink plenty of liquids. If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Penchila Prasad Kandikattu , Internal Medicine Specialist
