Suggest Treatment For Hand Pain In A Diabetic Patient
Hi dr, My mom is 58yrs old.currently suffering from unbearable pain on left hand.it gets worsen during night time.doctor examined her n confirmed that she s is having diabetes(blood sugar 350),no medication would help,n she s under insulin pen twice a day.but still she s unable to overcome this hand pain, and crying due to that..is this normal due to diabetes?or any compliaction will arise in future?
yes the hand pain is due to uncontrolled diabetes .she can get some relief from amitryptiline at night with vitamin b12.please contact your doctor for the prescription .howver please note that it takes a few weeks for pain to decrease .controlling sugars sis also essential .
