I was dignosed with heat palpitations. I was drinking 8-10 cans of Pepsi per day. I immediatly cut out caffein entirly. I was smoking up to two packs per day and am now down to 3-6 cigs per day. I only drink ocasionally, maybe 6 beers per month. I am sceduled for a stress test while being monitored this coming tuesday. I do not get much exercize and I sit alot at the computer. I have noticed that the palpitations are more frequent after being awake for a few hours or after I eat. I had surgery on my neck a while back. When doing the following MRI, I was told by the person who read it that a metalic foreign object was left in the surgical area, and looked like the tip of a needle. I was later xrayed and the DR who read it said it was cartilage. I was told before that last diagnosis, of it being cartilage, that if that object migrated it could possibly kill me and wouldn t be operable. I am still having palpitations (missed heartbeats) even after the drastic reduction of Caffeine and smoking. I did mention the object in my neck and the Dr said it was unlikly the problem because it is not continuoious. I m wondering if that is true?
