Suggest Treatment For Heartburn Due To Stomach Problems
I am 13 years old. I have had stomach problems in the past. We went to doctors in Nashville. But none of them knew what it was. I was in a car accident in November of 2012 and I broke my neck. My stomach problems have affected me ever since. and I keep having heart burn. it's like a squeezing stabbing burning sensation and I don't know what to do.
Looking at your description I would advise you to go for Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy to look for any pathology of oesophagus, gastroesophageal junction and stomach in order to establish a diagnosis and subsequently its treatment. Meanwhile I would advise you to take antiacidity medicine like pantoprazole or ranitidine group of drugs with antacids for 4-5 days.
You should avoid fatty fried spicy and and junk food and carbonated beverages. Have lots of fresh fruits, fruit juices and vegetables in your diet.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to ask for follow up question and I will gladly answer you.
Best wishes, Dr. B R Hudda
