I am from Kosovo, 58 years, male, and I suffer of hyperacidity, although I pay a lot of attention to the diet. I had a contrast endoscopy and was diagnsed hernia hiatal axal incipiente. After vomiting the acid for several days I feel well enough until more acid i poduced after some days,I have used Pantoprezol,and some ther blockatots but it is the same. When i have too muc acid i have gases too. Please help me, thank you.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Hyperacidity in a male of 58 and diagnosed as Hiatal hernia and suffering from gases too needs the following: Control of stress and anxiety, no smoking and no alcohol; avoid stress and anxiety as these instigate or enhance the problems. Avoid fatty and fried foods. No late nights. Small frequent meals of soft and bland diet. Continue Pantoprazole. Antacids when on empty stomach. Domperidone to regularize the bowel movement. Tests of blood, stool, ultrasonography and repeat endoscopy to see the present situation so that an appropriate additional treatment can be given. If the medical management fails to give you the relief you may need surgery to correct the hiatal hernia and avoid reflux causing the symptoms.
