Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I've been sick for exactly one week. I was given amoxicillin. Two days ago, my blood test results came back positive for infectious mononucleosis. I was told that some people who take amoxicillin while sick with mono will develop a skin rash. I didn't develop a rash until today, two days after I ended my run of amoxicillin. The rash appeared rather suddenly a few hours ago and is a blanket of dots on my arms, shoulders, back, and the sides of my abdomen. It does not seem to affect my legs or feet. Is this rash related to the mono?
