Suggest Treatment For Lesion In Iliac Following Lucent Lesion
I have a question about Multiple Myeloma. I was diagnosed and treated for MM stage 4 in 1995 and have been in remission. Last year I was diagnosed with tongue cancer in situ and there was no underlying reason found except perhaps previous radiation. I had CT and MRI scans last year that showed lucent lesions (without activity) and then repeated the CT scan of the chest and abdomen recently. It showed a new lesion in my Iliac, but my blood results are pretty stable. Should I be having a bone marrow biopsy, given the new lesion that presented itself?
1.The bony lesion in the iliac bone on the repeated CT and MRI scans in a known case of Carcinoma in-situ primary suspicion will be secondaries. 2.You may need to get a CT with contrast will give more information and confirmation of metastasis. 3.Since its second lesion, A compete screening of brain and skull x-ray to see any further lesions. 4.If no other lesions then bone biopsy to evaluate the nature of the cells involved. 5.Suggest a followup with both the lesions and clinical correlation.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
