Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been getting worse with symptoms lately... waiting to see an endocrinologist but want to make sure I am not in danger while waiting.. I have been having episodes of low blood sugar and/ or blood pressure as well as heart palpitations and I have a sugar isssue where I get either chronic yeast infections and/ or acne when i have sugar... dependent upon the time of the month. I am a female age 40
Low blood sugar and low blood pressure could be due to Addison's disease (insufficient adrenal hormones). In acute setting associated with dizziness, muscle weakness or even paralysis it is emergency and need for immediate replacement of hormones.
If its subacute or chronic with hemodynamic instability you can wait to meet endochrinologist.
If you are on insulin therapy , kindly check for overdose or kidney insufficiency as it is associated with decreased requirement of insulin dose.
Regards
