Is 51 too low for triglyceride levels? My scores were: 149 total, 94 LDL, 45 HDL. I had a physical recently and seem to be in very good health and always have been. I'm 61, 5'2" and about 125 lbs. In spring and summer I was on a no-fat low fat diet and went many days/weeks with only 2-3 grams or 0 grams of fat. I understand 50 is considered very low triglyc. level and may be a sign of disease. I'm concerned about that. I have an infection in the skin around my eyes that is hard to get rid of and my stomach has been queasy off and on since June. I'm taking a medication daily for bad GERD and wondering if the queasiness is due to that, or whether the triglyceride level is indicative of some other problem. For GERD, I take 300 mg/day of Nizatidine and when I get queasy I may take an extra one or take my daily 2 pills together and that controls the queasiness but it always comes back and sugar seems to set it off. Should I be concerned about my triglyceride level? What can I do to raise it. I am being careful to get healthy fats in my diet daily now.
