Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Please help with this never ending necrotizing facitiis which took almost one whole leg in under 24 hours and confined in a hospital bed for over six months complete with five surgeries and two would vacs with four hoses running nonstop. The facitiis gave me a pulmonary embolism and shut down my kidneys and live forcing the docs to insert as pig tail and administer dialysis every third day approximately until they were working to a level to keep me a alive. Then the fun started, it took me over two months to learn how to sit and then stand with a back belt brace held by a PT pulling forward a PT heavy hitter behind me in case I went back and then two PT on either side of the rails as I attempted to stand - how do I get through this? I have no money so I can t give you what you are asking but so desperately need answers on this disease that destroyed life as I knew it.

Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Anila's Response
if it was necrotising fasciitis, you are lucky to be alive as it is a devastating infection. the treatment is high dose penicillin containing antibiotic and debridement of necrosis tissue . there should be good control of sugars to accelerate healing.
