Suggest Treatment For Numbness In Feet After Spine Surgery
Hi, I am 30. height 5.5 ft and weight is 73 Kgs. I had a spine surgery done because of Disc Herniation on L5. I am fine now with no back pain but some portions of my right feet is still numb. I feel a dull pain on my heel if I do physical activity(like walking for more than 30 mins). Please guide me if my right feel will every recover. What do i need to do next?
It is necessary performing nerve conduction studies in order to exclude a possible pinched nerve (tarsal tunnel syndrome), which may need a new surgery. In the meantime, I recommend continuing physical activity.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
