Suggest Treatment For Numbness On The Hands

Hi. I'm a 39yo female in fairly good health. I'm 5'5" and weigh 140 lbs. I have Hashimoto's and some virilizing process with secondary amenorhea for the past 7 months, with the only abnormal lab seeming to be slightly low estrogen. I take levoxyl and spironolactone (the latter for hirsutism and hair loss).

I have a history of taking bc pills. Have a strong family history of heart disease (CAD, MI, anyurism). My total chol and LDL have been modestly elevated for the past 2 years but lowered to marginal during the exercise regimen.

My real concern is a recurrent "bubbling" sensation in my left leg. It began a few months ago, shortly after I began an aggressive cycling routine. Then it was very intermittent. Now I experience the leg sensation about half of the time. It feels very central in the thigh, not in muscles on the surface. Sometimes it presents like a throbbing or pulsing, as if I'm feeling my blood flow. Over the last few days the sensation has moved to my left calf and seems to present in both calf and thigh. I chronically get cold feet and do have very calloused heels. No slow-to-heal sores or anything like that. I also experienced intermittant numbness and coldness in my hands last winter.

On rare occasion, I get a gushing sensation above my heart, as though I feel the blood flowing there. Usually this occurs right before I'm due for the spironolactone, which I know lowers my bp. Taking the pill and hydrating seems to help, but if it does, indeed, I don't know if it's the med or the fluids that are helping.

Over the past year I felt various arhythmias which I blame on various supplements I took for hair loss. Any abnormal rhythms have basically disappeared. At times I wonder if my symptoms owe to overtraining/overexercising.

Right now I have a really bulging vein in my left foot. I don't know if the popping vein and the bubbling sensaiton are linked. My concern is that the sensation signals a clot or impending anyurism. Could it be a vasospasm? How does one assess those? Would that signal atherosclerosis? Regarding the pulsing/gushing/bubbling sensations, could there be a transient process going on that relates to bp fluctuations relative to the spironolactone dosing schedule, or to my hydration status?

Last week we went on a 31 hour car ride for vacation and will do so again in less than a week. I'm a little worried that this could be a clot.

My GP referred me recently to a cardiologist who dismissed my concerns because of my age. He said that anyurisms don't have symptoms.

Thank you kindly for any advise!
