Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling In Vein On Leg

I fell and I believe a vein in my inner thigh burst. It is bruised and raised, the size of a half-dollar, and rather painful. I did not hit anything during my fall. My ankle just rolled and I fell to the ground and when I got up, I felt this "raised bruise" immediately. I have a history of varicose veins on both sides of my family. Should I be concerned about this and what can I do to alleviate pain and swelling?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read facts of your query and reviewed it in context to your health issues submitted in your query.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.

Based on the facts of your query the reply of your query is-
Your current health issues seem to be due to -hidden Varicose Veins.
This pain in the inner thigh and bruising, seems to be due to bursting of the Varicose Veins due to sudden increase in the leg vein pressure and abdominal pressure.Varicose Vein history in both side families-upholds this contention..
Therefore you needs to be concerned and need to be attended urgently to avoid further complications.
Therefore Cause of these complaints -like above discussed needs to be ruled out.Other causes-like discussed above , need to be verified. For this you need to consult General and Vascular Surgeon.

Do's Suggested-
Consult and physically examine from General and Vascular Surgeon.
They would Do needful Investigations-after physical check.
Rest Elevation of the legs to reduce the pain and swelling in leg veins
Venostock application-x 3-6 weeks
Tab NSAID-Combiflam- 1 x 2 times x 1 week.
USG and Color dopler study of leg and groin veins
Thus You should Chest / orthopedic Surgeon.
This would resolve the complaints of your's.

Constant follow-up with General Vasular Surgeon for long term would give you long remissions of such complaints in time to come, which would depend on meticulous follow-up treatment of your health concerns.

Just don't worry and be patient and co-operate with your doctors, till you verify with your attending doctors.
For early recovery-please follow above do's which would resolve your complex health issues.

Hope this would help you to treat your health issues in the best way possible.
