Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Back And The Knee Caused By A Fall

My husband has been sick for a couple weeks now. He started with falling and hurting his back. He went to a chiropractor and it hasen't gotten any better. A few days later he started running a fever of 103 and coughing up yellow mucus. He went to an urgent care and they gave him an antibiotic. They also did an x-ray on his back (no fractures). Now the past two or three days his knees have been hurting. It has gotten much worse his knees are swollen and hot to touch. He said it feels as if someone is poking him with needles behind his knees. He is having difficulty walking and sitting. Do you have any ideas?
