Suggest Treatment For Painful Bulge In Vagina

A painful bulge in vagina.
I discovered a painful bulge in my vagina more than two years ago (I wasn't sexually active back then). It only hurt when inserting a tampon or feeling it with fingers. It's not visible from outside, I can only reach it with the top of my fingers. A year ago I had my first intercourse, I've only had sex two times in my life and both times the pain was unbearable. After that I went to see a gynaecologist for the first time. She said that the bulge is an ulcer and I had a procedure called cryotherapy. I had to go for a check up in a month, but didn't have the time (or the courage) to go, and I haven't seen a doctor since. And, apparently, the treatment hasn't helped.
I've been using only tampons for about three years now, I've read that that could cause ulcers. Is that true?
Also, doing some research on the internet I found information about Cystocele, which actually looks like something I might have (because of how deep inside the bulge is). I also have hormonal problems, which causes my pubic hair to grow in areas that normally shouldn't be covered with hair for a woman. I was on the pill for two months (more than half a year ago) which helped a little, but I started to gain weight, so I quit the pill.
Anyway, I just wanted to know other doctor's opinion about my problems.
