Suggest Treatment For Paroxysmal Atrial Tachycardia
I ve been told by an elector-cardiac doctor, that I have paroxysmal atrial tachycardia on the right side. With a left bundle branch aboration. This started last July. To start they put me on metoprolol, then they tried carvedilol, then added cartia. Because of gastric problems they switched me to diltiazem er. I am now up to 360mg once a day. I am 65 and have always been in very good health. I used to jog 4-6 miles a day, five times aweek. Also would run in 10Ks and finish in 50-60 minutes. I currently weigh 187 and I m six feet tall. The episodes seen to stop for up to two weeks and then start up again. I started off with 120mg of diltiazemm and went up by 120mg. Now at 360mg. I am somewhat concerned about my condition. Would rather not have the out patient procedure.
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern, the paroxysmal tachycardia can be seen in normal subject also the over all concern is your clinical symptoms and this is asymptomatic then no need to worry about this but regular follow up is important, take care and have a nice day.
