Hello,
First of all, you should measure your blood pressure and if it were high you should receive medical treatment.
If you are a woman and you take
oral contraceptive pills or hormonal replacement therapy, you should ask a gynecologist for help.
If you did not have
hypertension or take the pills, you could take a drug such as: Sumatriptan 50 mg or pizotifen 1.5 mg once to abort the attack, then you should take a prophylaxis treatment such as :
Amitriptyline 25 mg or
Propranolol 20 mg.
You could take Amitriptyline 25 mg: half a tablet before bedtime for three days then you should increase half a tablet every three days until the dose become 50 mg per day at bedtime.
The drug has some side effects such as: dry mouth and
constipation.
Propranolol 20 mg can be taken one tablet before breakfast for two days then you should increase the dose one tablet every two days until the dose becomes one tablet every 6 hours 1 hour before meals.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
