Suggest Treatment For Petechiae & Swelling In Face & Feet

I have a friend male, 34 years of age whose face and arms are covered with petechiae and in the last 10 months has had about 12 transfusions for anemina . His doctor is not alarmed that he has had so much blood or the places on his body. He is also very swollen (face, feet, legs, stomach )

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history of swelling and petechiae, my treatment advice is -
1. Take good nutritious diet full of green leafy vegetables and milk.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for three months.
4. Other treatment options are oral multivitamins, oral antihistamines taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
