Suggest Treatment For Recurrent UTI In Baby

My baby of age 1.6 year suffering recurrent UTI ( first after three days of birth and again at her 1.2 stage). We were treated with amikacin and doing prophylactic treatment with cefixime. Is this a serious problem? Any side effect by medicine? May it affect kidney or other Orgens?
