Psychiatrist 's  Response
I usually prescribe other medications known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI's) for patients with severe anxiety. clonazepam or alprazolam can be used during the initial part of the treatment for the relief of anxiety but other medications are required for long term treatment. Please consult a psychiatrist who would assess your symptoms and would prescribe appropriate medications to you.
