Suggest Treatment For Severe Migraine Headache

I have suffered with really bad migraine headaches since 4th grade...I am now 51 years old....my migraines have gotten worse....sometimes I stay in bed 3 days with pain, throwing up, can t stand light, smell or noise...I have gone to several doctors and convenience care clinics....I need to know of a Dr that will treat someone with migranes 10 or more a month. Thanks, Sharon

Hello dear,
I understand your health concerns. It surely seems to be migraine only, since you are mentioning the typical features of migraine - severe, episodic, increasing on exposure to bright light and sound.Since it is a chronic complicated migraine in your case, you must be knowing by now that migraine headaches are typically precipitated by some trigger factors. If you can trace out trigger factors in your case,(whether it is stress, bright light, some food items like tea, coffee or cheese, dust, smoking or any other) and eliminate them from your lifestyle, you will surely benefit.Besides, medicines can only prevent the attacks or terminate the acute episodes. No medicine can cure the migraine. It is the removal of trigger factors that cures the migraine. You can consult any expert neurologist for it,to guide you further.I hope it helps.
