Suggest Treatment For Sharp Pain And Contractions In My Left Ovary

I have had mirena iud since March of this year. I have never had children. I am getting sharp contractions and pain towards my left ovary to the point it makes me fall on my knees. The doctor says this can be normal but this doesnt feel right- is there something I can do if it is normal?
