About a week ago I had a sharp pain that stopped me from talking and it was on the right side lower abdomen ovary, I have since started about two days ago having twinges on the right side ovary and I am 4 dpo. My cervix is closed and soft.Could you tell me what I might be looking at?
Hi ! Good morning. I am Dr Shareef answering your query. If I were your doctor, I would advise you for an ultrasound of abdomen to know the status of your pelvic organs including the status of your appendix. In addition , I would advise you for a CBC, a urine routine/microscopic/culture sensitivity test, a stool test for ova and cyst, and treat any of them if positive. Till then, I would advise you for an anti spasmodic and a proton pump inhibitor drug for a symptomatic relief.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. I wish you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
