Hi,

Noted your short and specific question about having a small growth on vocal cord after endoscopy which your Doctor advised a small surgery.
Wants to know what to do.
It all depends upon the clinical cause for the development of a lump on cord.
If this is not thought to be due to cancer then the treatment is as follows:
Voice rest.
Oral steroids and anti-inflammatory medicines for 1 to 3 weeks if you are not diabetic.
Repeat the endoscopy and if the nodule is vanished then to get a voice therapy to avoid straining of the cords.
If this is not gone or if is suspected to be due to cancer then removal and histopathology is the only way to decide for the cause, CT scan of neck for staging and go for any further treatment as needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
