Suggest Treatment For Stomach Ache And Constipation In A Child

Dear Sir, This is regarding my son aged 2.5 years. He has been complaining of stomach ache since yesterday evening...looks like he has been having a gas problem and also constipated. He was playful in the evening but gradually acquired fever (temp. 99.4 deg) to which he was given crocin and since then has no temp. running. Now today morning he again complained of stomach ache and could hardly pass stools. Need your advice whether can we give him Carmicide syrup in such a case. Thanks n regards, Swapnil Bhagade.

Noted history about your 2.5 years old son complaining of stomach ache since yesterday evening. gas problems and constipation; also has fever for which crocin was given. Wants to know whether carmicide be given or not.
The answer to your specific question is yes, you can certainly give carmicide.
But more important is the opinion of a Pediatrician, clinical evaluation and tests if required to get a proper diagnosis and management.
As the suspected causes are:
Enteritis as fever was present.
There can be a fissure in ano, which the child can not really tell about.
Hence the needs of clinical examination by the Doctor.
