The normal dosing for an adult with G.I. tract issues is 0.125 mg to 0.25 mg four - six time daily. The maximum amount is 1.5 mg per day. In addition, you can try bananas, rice, applesauce, toast diet. You may want to avoid fruits, vegetables, red meats, coffee, alcohol, and dairy products while the diarrhea continues. The foods can exacerbate the diarrhea. I would also recommend starting probiotic. I would also recommend doubling your fluid intake.
