Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I've been having. Every couple of weeks I get debilitating stomach pain of the upper side of my belly (under my right breast). It always happens at night and usually leads to vomiting. The pain wraps around my abdomen from mid-line on my belly to my spine and I can't lay on my right side because it feels like it's inflamed and any pressure on my stomach makes the feeling like I'm going to vomit so, so much worse. I eat different things, and at different times, but my boyfriend thinks it may be the level of oil/fats in the food I eat for dinner. Sleeping helps, but it usually hurts so much I can't sleep.
It could be diffuse kind of abdomen discomfort, here the chances of infection are just likely it could be biliary disease, it could be colicky abdomen pain.
It can be due to acid peptic disease. Symptoms can be managed with tablet Paracetamol with tablet Rabeprazole once in a day, but symptoms cannot be left like this only.
If this persists, then it has to be brought to investigations, sometime it may not be due to disease, but it can be due to some anxiety and depression.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
