i have resently started to get stomach pains, i go to the toilet and produce a very liquidy poo, the pain went and then 5-10 minutes later the pain began again, put a hot water bottle on my stomach and the pain has gone, any help on what this could be ??
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Liquid stool after pain in abdomen that has temporarily stopped indicate that there could have been stomach flu due to virus infection or bacterial enteritis.
This can be diagnosed by the following: • Get the stool tested and if there is bacterial finding go for an antibiotic cover to get an early and proper cure. • Also, needed is to take boiled and cooled water, fresh homemade foods, and electrolyte solutions to avoid imbalance. • Take probiotics. • Report to your doctor if there is any progress and thus take an appropriate symptomatic and supportive therapy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T Chandrakant
