Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have anxiety disorder. Recently my doctor asked me to do an ekg and it showed signs of LVH. She sent me to a cardiologist and he ordered echo of my heart which came back normal. I do intense exercise 4 days a week. In 2009 I had to do a nuclear stress test because I was at columbia er for panic attack. The test had been normal. My question is is my heart ok or do I need to do a cardiac MRI? I feel short of breath sometimes but that could be due to anxiety.
I went through your details. Your cardiologist definitely knew what he did. If there is any cardio problems, doctors usually advise for Echo and stress (tread mill) test. If both these tests come normal it is presumed that the heart is OK. over and above you do work out decently. Therefore, I do not think you have any cardiology problems.
