Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I recently slammed my forhead on a very large, flat corner post of my bed. Immediately it turned into an egg (literally the size of a large egg) very red and a tiny bit of broken skin. Then next morning the swelling had widened to a tennis ball size though not as protruding. It has been 4 days and swelling is about softball size and even at the top front of my head (In hair area) I've been icing several times a day and I've been taking 800mg of Advil every 8 hours all four days. I have applied Arnica gel to the area several times a day as well. I don't have any other symptoms other than severely tender to touch (even to raise eyebrows) and start to get headache about 6 hours after advil. It also hurts bad when I bend forward. Should I see a dr or is this normal?
