Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Node

Hello, my mother is 60 years old and has had a swollen lymph node on each side of her neck for about 8months now. On a first occasion she went to a doctor and he prescribed her with some type of antibiotic for a severe cold, but then after the swollen nodes never went away. She was later being treated for rheumatoid arthritis, so I wonder if that plays a fcator in these swollen nodes. She later had a CT Scan done and came back negative, but now months later the lymph nodes are still swollen. Another DR. now wants her to have another CT Scan done but with contrast this time. And yesterday she told me shes feeling a little pain in her jaw...I am soo terrified and pray to God, its nothing too serious. She will be having blood work done in 2 days before getting the ct scan. Please help me by giving me some advice. I love my mom so much and hope this is not serious
