Suggest Treatment For Tailbone Injury

What treatment for a tailbone injury that is over a month old. My sister fell down the steps and broke her kneecap and tore ligaments. She is in a cast from her thigh to her ankle but her tailbone makes it almost impossible for her to sit in bed or in the wheelchair. What do you suggest? My sister is about 300 pounds and very weak.
