I ve had a lot of tonsil-related problems (a series of sore throats permanently enlarged them, I eventually got mono, and ever since I have been extremely susceptible to sore throats, strep, etc) in the last 8-10 years, so I pay fairly close attention to mine. I noticed my right tonsil was hurting earlier today, so I took a look at both of them in direct sunlight with a mirror. I noticed that the right one (which is considerably smaller than the left) actually looked fine, but the left one has a million teeny tiny (smaller than the head of a pin) bumps in all of its (MANY) cavities. They are NOT tonsil stones - they re wayyyyy too small, they re not white, and they do not seem to be pus-filled at all. Is this normal and I m just noticing it for the first time?
