Suggest Treatment Needed During And After Seizure

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...I think my husband had a seizure in the middle of the night for I think about aminute--not knowing what to do and what was happening, I tried to wake him to no avail and then he stopped and started snoring so I left him alone because he sounded normal and then he woke up to go to the bathroom a couple hours later and discovered he had wet the bed. What are you supposed to do when a person has a seizure during and after? By the way, he has head and neck cancer. Thank you so much--Jeanette

The prime thing to see in a fit/convulsion is to see the subject has an adequate unobstructed air way passage.ANY obstruction of air way passage will cause respiratory arrest and low oxygen in brain, making things worse.
An oxygen cylinder with a five lite air flow is a good help if one can manage small oxygen cylinders at home and learn how to use them.During the fit the head can be tilted back as much as possible so that the tongue is released and does not obstruct the air way passage. Some snore during a fit and that has to be taken care off by keeping the head extended.
