I started drinking too much when taking SSRIs a few tears ago, made the connection by accident when researching online and found many others had started craving alcohol when taking SSRIs. I stopped taking SSRIs then and did stop drinking, but a pattern had been set, and though i stopped then it has increased again since. There is not the compulsion that there was then, but I have too much tolerance and am now drinking too much just for the sake of it. Insomnia does not help and is probably the main excuse now.
