This morning my foot started having brief burning sensations, heated, some slight tingling. has periodically occurred through out today. It is like foot menopause hot flashes....what can I do? Does it need elevated longer in between getting up for necessity only?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi,
Burning sensation and tingling is due to pressure over nerve fibers by the swelling itself. So you need to elevate it over two pillows for longer time to reduce the swelling and thus relive pressure over superficial nerve fibers. If it persist even after this ,consult your doctor for evaluation.
Hope this will helps you.
