Suspect Of ARVD. Echo, Stress Test, Holter, EKG With Inverted T-waves. MRI Normal. Chances Of ARVD?

My EP suspects I may have ARVD. My echo, stress test, holter, EKG, all point to ARVD with inverted T waves; however, my MRI showed a healthy heart with no signs of scarring or heart disease. I'm currently taking a beta blocker, which has helped somewhat with the palpitations, flutters, skipped beats and chest pains. Is it possible that this is not ARVD? I'm awaiting another stress test to see if the meds are working (which I know they're not as if I walk at a brisk pace I find myself easily out of breath and chest pain, etc. I guess I'm just wondering how serious the chances are of having ARVD, without any indications on the MRI?

Dear patient,

The sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of ARVD by MRI are not perfect, thus some of the anatomical features may not be obvious. A right ventricular biopsy may be entertained if the diagnosis is still in question and no definitive answer yet.
