Swelling In Mastoid Area And Neck Glands

I have a swelling in mastoid area that starts in the back behind the ear, and goes around to the front of the ear. The neck gland swells. Happens when I eat, about once a week. When I quit chewing ,the swelling goes down, leaving the area tender for a day.This isn t new and has been happening since 2004, but becoming more frequent.

hello thanks for consulting at hcm. it could be due to salivary gland stones, explly before u eat.. it could be even infectious teeth or salivary gland infection either ways plz consult an oral maxillofacial surgeon or oral medicine asap,, take analgesics adn antibiotics if needed, hope it helps, take care,,,
