Switching From Entocort To Asacol Samples Brought Nausea, Allergic To Sulpha. Will It Go Away Or Does Asacol Contain Sulpha ?
I have been on entocort for about 5 years and it really helped. My colonoscopy in January was so bad he thoughts he would have to remove my colon, however the last one in April looked much better.I went on medicare recently and the entocort would put me into the doughnut hole in a couple of months, so My doctor switched me to asacol samples, but I can't get passed the nausea. Question, will this go away after I'm on it for awhile, and does asacol contain sulfa drugs. I am allergic to sulfa.

Entocort and asaqcol are two different group of drugs used for two different diseases. Asacol is a sulfa free drug so it wont cause any sulfa allergy.Its used for inflammatory bowel diseases. Nausea , vomiting, headache , diziness are common side effects with this drug.
