Swollen And Painful Glands. Had Cold, Laryngitis, Cough. Normal?

I recently came down with cold, with laryngitis and bad cough. I also have swollen and painful glands on only one side of my neck. This has been this way for 2 weeks. Is this normal? How long before the glands go back to normal? I worry that it is something more serious. I have an appt with my doctor on Monday but wondered if I should go to ER sooner?

Hello,
Swollen glands in the neck indicate infection in the face or oral cavity. In your case it is because of cold and laryngitis. You have to start treatment immediately with antibiotics and analgesic drugs and do consult your doctor for further examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
