Swollen And Painful Toe, Black In Color, Toe Got Mashed Accidentally. Waiting For X Ray Result. Suggestions?

Hi, someone smashed into my left middle toe yesterday in a downtown store. I couldn't move 3rd toe, was so painful and could barely walk. I'm suffering while I was told it would take 2-3 days to get my xray result. I'm so frustrated about the longest amount of time to get such a simple result. My toe has turned blacked and swollen. It's day two now. Any advice what I should do. Thanks

Hello,

Thanks for posting on HCM,

While waiting for your X-ray results, place ice pack on the affected toe, get some OTC pain killers such as diclofenac or acetaminophen. Keep toe away from friction or tension or compression while you can.
You may wear shoe that will not compress your toes and aggravate the situation.

hope this helps
