Swollen, Irritated Bump On Labia Majora. Need Advice
Hi, I had a tiny bump on the labia majora starting a few days ago, like a pimple, thought it would go away but it has gotten bigger/swollen and feels irritated now. I was just in Cuba last week and thought maybe it was a bite or something in the ocean water. I've tried using natural plant-based anti-viral/bacterial spray for the last few days but it doesn't seem to have helped. I appreciate your advice. Thanks...
Prior to providing a diagnosis, I would need to know if you are sexually active ? If yes, this leasion may need to be swabbed for stds otherwise if not, we then need to look at your hygiene routine. Do you shave? If yes this could be a folliculitis - ingrown hair. The other option - but I need more description of the exact location of the bump is to rule out bartholinitis ....inflammation of the gland. If this is the case and depending on the severity it will need drainage.
I will also need to know if you have any discharge and other gynecological urogenital symptoms. My suggestion is to go see your doctor for further evaluation.
thank you
