Swollen Left Testicle, Lower Back And Bladder Pain After Lifting Heavy Weight. Why ?
Hi, my husband has a swollen left testicular which happen 2weeks ago after he was doing work around the house picking up heavy objects of rubbish to be taken away to the rubbish tip. He complained strait away of plain in he's lower back and bladder at that time he's left testicular started swelling to the size of a egg he had a ultra sound in which the doctor said he had inflammation or a infection the Doctor prescribed Norfloxacin-Ga 400mg 1tab twice a day for 14days.
The description given by you suggests either of the following two things: 1. Inguinal hernia. 2. Epididymo-orchitis. As the ultrasound suggests inflammation we go by the diagnosis of epididymo-orchitis. However it should have been relieved by the antibiotics. In case the swelling is persisting the diagnosis needs to be reviewed. I suggest that you get his haemogram and repeat ultrasound done to confirm the diagnosis.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
Wishing your husband all the best.
