Swollen Lymph Nodes. What Are Treatment Options?

I have 3 swollen lymph nodes all on the left side- mandibular, occipital and cervical region. Have been treated for impacted wisdom tooth ( waited for the nodes to subside for 45 days) and chronic fungal infection in the scalp ( ongoing treatment- have had some type of dermatitis or infection in scalp on and off past 8 months). lymph nodes appeared 4 months back, FNAC report 3 months old was unspecific and ultrasound report same time now redone shows increase in size by 0.5 cms but no more vascularity visible.

hi, enlarged lymphnodes may not be a disease in itself. infections of scalp and oral cavity are common causes for the enlargement of mandibular, occipital and cervical region. repeated infections may further increase its size. as FNAC report was unspecific just 3 months back & in ultrasound report there is no more vascularity, you can wait. meanwhile lokk for any scalp & oral infeactions. best wishes...

Lymph nodes swelling can be mainly 2 types 1. Inflammatory
2. non inflammatory...

if there is pain in the node means if the node is tender then its due to infection...if no pain is there then proper investigation has to be done....

You can consult with oral and maxillofacial surgeon....

Continue treatment for fungal infection on scalp...

Oral examination has to be done properly...

Don't neglect this..wait and watch if the nodes are increasing in size or not...
