I have a swollen tonsil on the right side of my throat. I do not feel sick or feverish however my throat does hurt wheres its swollen. Its been 3 days now and the pain is still there but with no other symptoms. I looked down my throat and there is no white spots like when you have strep however the tonsil is much larger then the left one and is bumpy.
its seems to be acute on chronic hypertrophied tonsil, start using mouth wash and saline gargles (if you are not hypertensive)otherwise disprin gargles, use it twice a day, for 2 to 3days and observe for 2to 3 days for fever or pus in the tonsils or if one sided arch become more swollen then the other,if symptoms subsides then no further treatment is required ,but if you develop fever or pus in the tonsiles then you will need antibiotic cover.
