Swollen Penis After Having Unprotected Anal Sex. Worried
I had unprotected anal sex two and a half weeks ago. Since then I think the head of my penis has slightly swollen and lightened in color. It does not hurt, it does not get to pee or when I have an erection. It seems to be completely normal other than the slight increase in te size of the head, particularly the "lip" connecting head to shaft.
the description you have given appears as though your glans penis is inflamed. Inflammation of the penis in your context is very possible following the anal sex. The penis is made up of soft tissue and it is particularly sensitive to friction, compression and or pressure.
It is likely that you glans penis must have been traumatized during the sexual intercourse and it is just a physiological reaction by the body that is causing the swelling.
Worst scenario could be that during the intercourse, you sustained small cracks through which germs entered and you are having a cellulitis. Cellulitis could be very severe and particularly at the level of the penis.
In my opinion, it will be necessary to see a doctor to rule out cellulitis or put you on antibiotics in the case of cellulitis.
Hope this helps you. Best regards Dr Achuo
