Swollen Right Ankle. Heel, Outside Of Foot Hurts While Walking. What Is The Problem?

my right ankle is swollen and my heel and out side of my foot hurt s . I can walk on my tipsy toes but my foot still hurts this has been going on for a year last year i sprained my ankle but as long as I stay off it it don't hurt as bad but i can't lay down all the time I have to walk to the bathroom and to my kitchen to cook etc.

Hello, your ankle swelling and outer foot pain suggest probably you had inversion injury. It's almost a year now so if any bony fracture was there it must have healed or gone into non union or mal union. I advise you to take the issue seriously and have a clinical check up and a X-ray foot with ankle AP and lateral view. Thank you
