Hello and welcome to HCM
The history that you have mentioned- swelling of salivary glands after eating food and getting back to normal after some time points toward inflammation/ infection of the salivary gland.
This infection/ inflammation can be due to obstruction of the salivary duct due to stone, food stasis, desquamation of the ductal lining.
Since, it is an infective/ inflammatory condition in majority of cases, antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs have to be taken.
This will relieve the pain ans swelling.
However, if it is not subsiding you need to consult your treating doctor for further investigations.
Good oral hygiene prevents these kinds of inflammatory conditions.

Thank you and take care
