Swollen Tonsils. Mono-Negative. Have Spit Blood In The Morning. Problem?

So I have had swollen tonsils for a month or so and at first they were big with white on them and then that went away. I went in to the doctor and tested for mono and it came back negative so i thougth it was okay. I dont have any other symptoms except for just recently the last two mornings i have spit up quite a bit of blood after sleeping.
Do i really need to worry about it or is it probably nothing?

You had swelling of tonsils and there is white things on the tonsils. since 2 days you are getting blood from mouth when you wake up .
The infection you had might be follicular tonsilitis, due to bacterial infection.There will be swelling of the tongue also, which may not be very marked. Or there could be sinusitis.
The Bleeding from the mouth may be due to biting of the tongue, during sleep, or may be from the sinuses, or may be posterior nasal epistaxis.
I advise you to consult an E.N.T.surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.

Hi, Thanks for your query, Swollen tonsils that are not painful or do not cause other problems do not need to be treated. Your health care provider may not give you antibiotics. You may be asked to come back for a check up later.

If tests show you do have strep, your doctor will give you antibiotics. It is important to finish all of your antibiotics as directed by your doctor, even if you feel better. If you do not take them all, the infection can return.
The following tips may help your throat feel better:
Drink cold liquids or suck on popsicles
Drink fluids, especially warm (not hot), bland fluids
